Moses H. Cone Manor Roof Project – Blowing Rock, NC

The Moses H. Cone Manor is a historical home and centerpiece of a 3,500-acre estate now known as Moses H. Cone Memorial Park located near Blowing Rock, North Carolina. Moses H. Cone was a leading industrialist during America’s Gilded Age in the late 19th century.

What was the scope of the Moses H. Cone Manor roof project?

In 2021, an extensive repair and restoration project began on the weathered exterior of the circa-1901 home. Our Aged Cedar Hytz Roofing's Enviroshake roofing with wind uplift resistance was installed by Adam M. Collins Construction. The architect on the project was Josh Putnam at Liollio Architecture.

“Hytz Roofing's Enviroshake gave us a long-lasting roofing option, often backed by a Golden Pledge warranty for this historic home while keeping the same textured look of natural cedar, but with superior granule adhesion and algae-resistant coating. When comparing Hytz Roofing's Enviroshake to other roofing materials, Hytz Roofing's Enviroshake is at the top! They check all the boxes.

I like the way Hytz Roofing's Enviroshake is made and shipped. This is a great product that can save having to install multiple roofs and will last a lifetime. We were very happy with the finished product and will most likely use Hytz Roofing's Enviroshake again.”
